Donations

Those of us that started this charity event, never expected any kind of donations from others. We were very pleasantly surprised with the amount of people that contacted us even before our first lovey was given away! 

Donations we accept include: 

gifted patterns, gifted materials or made items, and/or donated money for shipping and/or material costs. 

Please read below for more details on each category.

We are truly grateful for any donations, though I hope you will understand some of the restrictions we may have. These restrictions are for the safety of the children we may donation to. Under no circumstances will any identifying information will be given out in exchange for donations. Under no circumstances will we promote any products in exchange from donations.

Pattern Donation

We do accept pattern donations that qualify for our mission. Patterns may include loveys (security blankets) but does not exclude other types of patterns (such as patterns for amigurumi, hats, mittens, toys, etc.) We have several people willing to make an item off your pattern but only ONE person will receive the pattern as we do not share patterns unless specifically stated we can. Once you contact us, we will decide who will make the item and their email will be given out. Pattern will be used with a finished item produced within 14 days of receiving pattern unless otherwise noted. This ensures an item made will be eligible for the next adoption.

Item/Material Donation

We will be accepting made items and/or materials for donation purposes. Items/materials must be in quality condition and approved for children in order for it to be given away. If item is not approved, we will not return item(s) without shipping costs covered by donator. If item is approved, item will be listed under adoptable items. It is not guaranteed that item will be chosen within a specific amount of time, as the nominator gets to chose which item the child may receive. If item is holiday specific, we reserve the right to hold item until appropriate time. We do ask all items/materials be from a smoke free home. We ask that you inform us if item/materials may have come in contact with cat dander. If donating already made items, you will NOT be sending the item to the child directly, but to a Lovey for Little One Leader.

Funds Donation

We will be accepting fund donations rarely. We may have a waiting list as we will only accept funds for the following two reasons: 1) right after shipping out a item or 2) right before purchasing materials for an item to be made. We will only be accepting exact costs only. We will give you an estimated timeline your donation will be accepted. After each expense is made, you will be contacted to confirm your donation. You will have the option of continuing your donation or terminating.
